Folklore and ethnographic ensemble

Folklore and ethnographic ensemble is a collective created simultaneously with the Philharmonic Society. Artistic director Tursinkhan Karakozhayeva gathered qualified instrumentalists with professional education into the ensemble and began active work on forming the repertoire of the collective. In addition, the members of the ensemble were fully provided with musical instruments and stage costumes.

In November 2023, the ensemble took part in the republican review-festival of folklore and ethnographic ensembles "Zhetysu Sazy" in Taldykorgan and won the first prize.

The orchestra team maintains close creative ties with Professor of the Department of "Traditional Musical Art" of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov Kairgazy Ashimbekovich Tolen and presents concert programs of a creatively high level to the audience.

It is worth noting that in 2024 the ensemble presented its first new concert program to the audience under the heading "Ana Jean". Under the direction of Kairgaza Tolena, accompanied by an ensemble, the Philharmonic singers performed original works of the folk genre, as well as famous works by domestic and foreign composers. Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nurtazin also demonstrated his performance. At the beginning of 2025, the ensemble performed a new, more creative program called "Welcome, New Year!". We wish success to the ensemble, which gives a celebration of melodious and colorful songs and music!
