From September 29 to October 4, 2023, our city hosted the I-th International Theater Festival dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the People's Artist of Kazakhstan, the winner of the State Prize Biken Rimova.
As part of the solemn event, a bronze statue of the actress was unveiled in the building of the Biken Rimova Drama Theater.
Semirechentsev was congratulated by President Kasymzhomart Tokayev on the 100th anniversary of Biken Rimova. It was read by akim of the region Beibit Isabayev. Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva also took part in the opening of the festival.
Art collectives of Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan took part in the event with the support of the TURKSOY International Organization.
As part of the festival of art, the Philharmonic artists performed at the opening and closing of the festival. In particular, the orchestra of folk instruments named after M. Tolebayev, the pop symphony orchestra, soloists gave the audience and guests of the festival a wonderful evening.
