The village of Kabanbai in the Alakolsky district of the region celebrated the 95th anniversary of the outstanding writer, statesman and public figure Anuar Alimzhanov. At the anniversary event, Akim of the Zhetysu region Beibit Isabayev, deputy of the Mazhilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sairov, winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Turksoy, poet Ulugbek Yesdaulet, scientists, writers, and the public of the region as a whole laid flowers at the bust of the writer. The event continued with the republican scientific and educational conference, which ended with a concert by philharmonic artists.
